What a garden. I am so jealous. We have great basil, but I better get going with the others!

my favorite aunt passed away on sept 10, 2007 from ovarian cancer…kind of ironic that september is ovarian cancer month. i so wish i would have seen this post earlier..i would have participated. but in lieu of that, i will list her name … beverly leclaire…in honor of the month…
i hope you are selected as the winner..i love your blog..and will be making the oregano olive oil…

love the smell of oreganO:) I bring a big bag of it back from Calabria every time I go and the smell reminds me of the Italian countryside…. although I always wonder what the customs agent will think if he/she finds it in my luggage.

Beautiful grapes, herbs, and awarness for a wonderful cause!

Origano is the number one herb in our kitchen. I simply hang it up in bunches to dry and then sprinkle it over the food.
The smell immediately conjures up the childhood image of my grandmother sitting in the kitchen rubbing the dried herb between her fingers before storing it in a jar.

this may be the ticket for my bumper crop of oregano! thanks for the timely idea
